Cowper Art Gallery and Studio Situated in the Clarence Valley, NSW, Australia. We are halfway between Grafton and Maclean just off Big River Way. We are closed in between exhibitions.

We are open Saturday & Sunday 10am - 4pm, and Thursday to Sunday during school holidays. Please keep an eye on our page to keep up to date with details.

It’s the weekend! Our doors are open for the first weekend of our new exhibition, Zig Zag. Call in and see this beautiful show which all started with the creative collaboration between six artists and six concertina books.
We’re open Saturdays and Sundays from 10-4 each day, and our exhibition runs right through until May 10. See you soon!

The big reveal is here! If you saw our reel just over a month ago you’d know that I’ve been having a huge clean up and reorganise in our Studio space over our summer break.
What looked like something I’d never get on top of a month ago - and I was questioning my sanity in doing this! - is now a wonderfully organised space that I can find what I want, when I want it. And all without climbing over boxes or crawling under tables trying to find that one thing!
I’ve installed cabinets, put up shelving, moved cupboards, sorted, cleaned and thrown out or rehomed for weeks now - and I love how it’s turned out. Can’t wait to get started teaching in our new space 😁

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to run a block printing workshop for the Wild About Wooli Art Show out at beautiful Wooli. In the lead up weeks to the art show each year, the committee holds free workshops for local residents which a wonderful way to encourage participation in the art show as well as developing new skills for workshop participants.
I had fantastic and very capable group of twelve students who all produced a beautiful print by the end of the day.
Thanks to the organisers for inviting me to be a tutor this year - especially to Marg and Sharon who did all the work supporting my workshop both behind the scenes and on the day. I’ll look forward to seeing lots of prints entered in the show this year!

Although our doors are closed over January and February, and our workshop program doesn’t start til late February, there’s plenty happening here!
I’m having a big sort out, clean up, reorganising and hopefully making the Studio a much more serviceable space. But just now I feel like I’m drowning in paper, boxes, materials, tools and collections of ‘stuff’!
