After returning to Perth from several months overseas, one of my first gallery visits was to Chris Pease's survey exhibition at the John Curtin Gallery.

It is a beautifully curated and thought-provoking exhibition that charts the evolution of one of Western Australia's most significant contemporary artists, while reaffirming the enduring power of his practice.

For me, the exhibition was particularly meaningful. Many of the works on display were the subject of research in my Master's thesis, making it a pleasure to revisit them with the perspective that time affords. Seeing them together again reinforced the depth of Chris's visual language and the continuing relevance of his contribution to Australian art.

It was also a privilege to contribute the catalogue essay for the exhibition, reflecting on Chris's practice and its place within the broader narrative of contemporary Australian art. I have included photographs of both the exhibition and the catalogue essay for those interested.

Congratulations to Chris Pease and the team at the John Curtin Gallery on an outstanding exhibition. If you are in Perth, I highly recommend taking the time to see it.

Art Basel 2026.
Back from another week immersed in extraordinary art, conversations with collectors, curators and galleries from around the world, and countless reminders that the market is driven as much by relationships as by remarkable works.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is seeing these works firsthand, understanding the market behind them, and connecting clients with opportunities that rarely become public.
Already looking forward to the next edition.
