NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

Members are advised that a Special General Meeting will be held on:

Wednesday, 14 October 2026
7:00 pm
Corrigin Pioneer Museum

The purpose of the meeting is to elect members to the vacant committee positions following the Annual General Meeting.

All members are encouraged to attend. Nominations for committee positions will be welcomed at the meeting.

Your support is important to ensure the ongoing operation of the Corrigin Historical Society and Corrigin Pioneer Museum.

🏛️ NEW MEMBERS WANTED – CORRIGIN PIONEER MUSEUM

You don’t have to be a history expert to be part of the Corrigin Pioneer Museum!

We’re looking for new members of all ages — younger people, families, newcomers to Corrigin, long-time locals and anyone who would simply like to be involved in something positive for our community.

There are plenty of ways to get involved, depending on what interests you. You might enjoy helping with displays, machinery, the model railway, local stories and photographs, events, gardening, maintenance, research — or simply coming along, meeting people and sharing a cuppa.

There is no expectation that you have to give up lots of your time. Every bit of involvement helps.

Membership is only $10 per year.

The opening of our new exhibit. The exhibit epics the Corrigin Railway yard as it was in the mid-1950s. Thank you for our visitors who attended yesterday. Huge gratitude for all involved to make this happen.

Big thank you to the guys from Western Stabilisers who helped move the locomotive to the museum.

Exciting news. "Nellie" the locomotive that was housed at the CRC has come home to the Train Shed. Now at the museum. The locomotive 🚂 was part of the miniature railway originally built by Albert Sibley at Stretton and later moved to run around Rotary Park in the late 1970s and 1980s. Come and visit "Nellie" and see our wonderful new model railway. Inaugural running show day September 12.

Huge thanks to the Fisher family for our latest piece of historic machinery from the 1950s or 1960s. It's a Clover Harvester made by Barron Linton in Perth. It's very unique and a great addition to our machinery collection.
