Our first Junior Members to join the Museum. It was with great pleasure that we welcomed Nik and Ollie to membership at the museum. We hope to have many more young ones become members. Especially when we have our model railway running, planned for September. People of all ages are encouraged to join and participate in the activities at the museum.

๐Ÿš‚ Bringing Corrigin's Railway History Back to Life ๐Ÿš‚

Visitors to the Corrigin Pioneer Museum may have noticed some exciting work underway in our Train Shed.

A detailed model railway layout is currently being constructed, depicting the Corrigin railway yard as it appeared during the 1960s. The layout will help preserve and showcase an important part of Corrigin's history, allowing visitors to see how the railway precinct once looked and operated during the town's busy rail era.

The project is progressing well, and we're pleased to share some photos showing the work completed so far.

A special thank you goes to Ray Cooper and Ian Sullivan for the many hours they have devoted to designing and constructing the layout. Their skill, patience and attention to detail are helping bring a fascinating piece of Corrigin's railway heritage back to life.

We look forward to sharing further progress updates as the layout develops and moves closer to completion.

Stay tuned for more photos and updates!

Today we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who have served our nation, and especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we enjoy today.
On this Anzac day the Corrigin Historical Society pays tribute the the courage, mateship and resilience of all Australians and New Zealanders who served in war, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

We also remember the many local men and women from Corrigin and surrounding districts who served and are serving their country.

Lest we forget.

๐ŸŒŸ THANK YOU CORRIGIN! ๐ŸŒŸ

What a fantastic day we had at the Dusty Boots Easter Heritage Festival!

A huge thank you to the people of Corrigin and our visitors who came along and supported the event โ€” you made the day what it was ๐Ÿ‘

We are incredibly grateful to our supporters, volunteers, businesses, vendors, and performers who all played a part in making the day such a success.

๐Ÿ™ Events like this donโ€™t happen without the whole community getting behind them โ€” and thatโ€™s exactly what happened.

Thank you everyone.

The Corrigin Historical Society and Corrigin Pioneer Museum sincerely thank the Shire of Corrigin for its support through the Community Assistance Program.

This funding helped us carry out important electrical and lighting improvements at the Museum, including replacement floodlights, Round Room lighting, switchboard works and power outlets for food vendors. These upgrades were especially valuable in helping us prepare for and support the successful Dusty Boots Festival, improving safety, visibility and functionality for the event and for future community activities.

We greatly appreciate the Shire of Corriginโ€™s ongoing support of projects that strengthen our Museum and benefit the wider community.
