Today’s the day! 🎨📚

We’re excited to officially open our newest exhibition, Words & Pictures, today at 2:00pm here at SPACE Gallery.

This exhibition is something truly special. It beautifully explores the power of storytelling, bringing together the heartfelt words of local author Celeste Cannell and the stunning artwork of NSW artist Lindy Longhurst.

The themes woven throughout this exhibition will resonate deeply with many of us. They speak to big emotions, connection, understanding and making it a meaningful experience for children, families and adults alike.

If you’re looking for something inspiring to do this afternoon, we’d love to see you there.

📍 SPACE Gallery
41 Dalgarno Street, Coonabarabran

🕑 Official Opening: Today at 2:00pm
🥂 Light refreshments provided.

Come along, meet the creators, celebrate local talent, and experience the magic of Words & Pictures. 💙📖✨

This is exciting. We are hosting ABC Western Plains this Friday.

Kim Goldsmith will be broadcasting live from SPACE in Coonabarabran from 6:30am this Friday the 31st of July ☕

At the ABC, our best stories start with listening to YOURS… And the most important questions we ask are the ones YOU want answered.

As part of ABC Your Say, we want to know what people are talking about in your patch that the rest of the country needs to know.

When you think about the future, what gives you hope and what issues keep you awake at night? Also, what is great about the place where you live and is there someone in your community with a story that needs to be told?

Pop down to the gallery to say hello before 10am on Friday or you can listen to the live broadcast here: https://www.abc.net.au/listen/live/westernplains

Tomorrow we celebrate. We connect. We share stories. ❤️🖤💛

Join us as we officially kick off our NAIDOC Week celebrations with a morning of culture, community and connection.

We’ll begin with the 10:30am Flag Raising Ceremony at the Warrumbungle Shire Council, followed by a Smoking Ceremony, before walking together to SPACE Gallery for the 11:00am official opening of the “Back to Burra Bee Dee” Exhibition.

This exhibition celebrates culture, identity, resilience and the stories that continue to shape our community. Whether you’re First Nations or non-Indigenous, everyone is welcome to come along, learn, connect and celebrate together.

Every story matters. Every step together matters. Join us for morning tea and soups!
