It’s always a bonus to have local Valla-based artist ’s work in the Laneway Gallery group exhibitions, and Fairy Floss Fantasy was no exception ☺️

Amber’s style is heavily influenced around her love of nature, in particular birds, snakes and flora. These gorgeous watercolour finches are so elegantly framed, merging traditional with contemporary styles together beautifully.

These two are quietly stunning 😍

Lisa Caudell aka is a Brisbane based traditional artist originally from London. With a background in both fashion and graphic design, she creates contemporary feminine portraits where botanical elements and mythical undertones blur the line between figure and flora.

Rooted in a biophilic philosophy, she works across pencil, oils and metallic acrylics, preferring the tactility of wood and paper surfaces. Combining realism, abstraction and graphic elements, her practice celebrates Nature’s beauty through a feminine lens and whimsical storytelling.

Pink Papilio
Watercolour with metallic embellishments on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper

Part girl, part garden, part daydream. Pink Papilio lives somewhere between portrait and fantasy. She’s sweet, surreal, and wildly whimsical.

Rose Madder
Watercolour with metallic embellishments on Arches 300gsm watercolour paper

The dress code said pink so she wore the garden. Lush, theatrical and unapologetically feminine, Rose Madder blooms on her own terms and demands to be admired.

Both beautiful pieces available in-gallery and online 💖

What exactly is the function of a Rubber Duck?
By Jenna Richards
Acrylic on canvas

“The work takes its title, ‘What exactly is the function of a Rubber Duck?’, from a line in a beloved childhood film that always made me laugh. The moment pokes fun at the seriousness with which adults try to explain the unexplainable, and that playful absurdity sits at the heart of this painting. The ducks exaggerated scale amplifies the tension between the objects inherent silliness and our instinct to assign it meaning. The piece becomes a lively critique of over-explaining, inviting viewers to revel in the joy of something that exists purely to delight.”

About the artist:
“My artworks explore the quiet intersections between nature, memory, and wellbeing. I seek to reveal the beauty hidden in the everyday and the reliance found in connection. I typically find inspiration from the rhythms of the coast.

Motherhood has reshaped my practice, grounding me in both vulnerability and strength. Returning to painting after years of pause, I approach each canvas as a process of redescovery, a way to reclaim my identity while honouring the cycles of care and growth. My art is not only a personal expression but also an advocacy for inclusion and wellbeing.

My intention is to create spaces of pause, moments where viewers can reconnect with themselves, with each other, and with the world around them.”

Now available in-gallery and online, with a limited end-of-show price drop as the artist hopes to see it placed in its perfect home ✨

Next artist and artwork highlight.. these two have easily been the standout works in the gallery, almost everyone through the door stops and points them out! ❤️‍🔥

KÜMA (.eth) brings over 30 years of digital experimentation into this series, starting back on the Commodore Amiga in 1992 and evolving through projects in Tokyo and Los Angeles. What you’re seeing here is a highly layered process combining digital tools, custom techniques, and years of refining a very distinct visual language.

The Supervillains! series reimagines figures of power as hyper-glam, larger-than-life icons, playing with tension between authority and absurdity. Bold, provocative and unhinged.

“Dear Leader (Kimmi)” and “Pink Vader” are limited edition archival fine art prints of just 20 worldwide. Kimmi is edition 4/20, and this is the first release of Pink Vader.

They’re already beautifully and uniquely framed and hand stamped, making them a special piece to own. For collectors, or anyone wanting something with a bit of edge and story behind it, this is one of those rare finds.

Definitely worth seeing in person before the show wraps this weekend, but if you can’t make it, they’re now also available at the Laneway Gallery website: https://thelanewaygallery.square.site/s/shop

Getting very excited for my new laneway neigbours to open soon!

They had a tough start on the other side of the building for a hot minute, but have come to the fun side of the lane, filled to the brim with unique, vintage, rare and fun items 😍

Give them a follow to stay in the loop.

I am so excited to introduce a local Coffs artist as our first solo exhibition for 2026!

Botanical Musings will showcase Kristen’s love for still life, especially the quiet poetry of native flowers and every day objects.

Her gorgeous impressionistic brushwork captures small moments of beauty with softness, colour and curiosity.
