The Foundry finally revealed

After some major pruning and clearing the Foundry is again visible. Located at the end of Purcell Street all that remains today is a heavy boiler stack made of heavy cast iron plates and a dense deposit of coke. The foundry was in use between 1862 and 1937. A boxthorn had previously grown in the stack but has since died and has now been cutback, revealing the remains of the site.

We're planning something exciting for 2026 but we need your help...
In the early 2000's Clunes had a Film and Amateur Theatre Society.
We're looking for photos from any of these productions:
Dimboola - 2005
The Boyfriend - 2006
A Murder is Announced
Pajama Game - 2007
Were you part of the cast? If so we'd like to hear from you.

We love it when kids come to visit the Museum. We've installed 5 new Young Historians panels to keep them entertained and hopefully interest them in Clunes history and history in general. The panels are located throughout the Museum - just look for the green Young Historians headings.
