Opened in 2003, Redland Art Gallery is a vibrant award winning regional gallery showcasing innovative and culturally diverse exhibitions.

If yes, it’s time to submit your entry to the Redland Art Awards 2026—a biennial contemporary painting competition celebrating artists from across the country. 👏

The 2026 Awards offer a major acquisitive First Prize of $20,000, along with a Second Prize of $6,000 and Third Prize of $3,000. Additional awards include the Meredith Foxton People’s Choice Award ($1,000) and the RAMP Member’s Choice Award ($500).

Artist Talk Highlights ✨

On Sunday, Redland Art Gallery hosted a thoughtful and generous conversation with Dean Biŋkin Tyson and Warraba Weatherall for CREATE EXCHANGE: Painted Up. It was especially meaningful to share this moment together during National Reconciliation Week. 💛❤️🖤

Our audience was deeply engaged throughout; listening, reflecting and connecting with the meaningful discussion shared. The conversation explored how culture shapes identity, responsibility and the continuation of knowledge across generations. There was powerful reflection on how past challenges and limitations experienced now offers space for culture to continue and evolve for younger generations and all of us as a community.

A truly meaningful and memorable gathering at the Gallery. 💛

Painted Up is part of a three-year project of artist-residency style exhibitions and activations, collectively titled CREATE EXCHANGE. The exhibition is presented at Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland and Redland Art Gallery, The Mezz at Redland Performing Arts Centre.
