Dean Biŋkin Tyson’s work reflects body painting as cultural adornment, privilege and resistance. Drawing on decades as a dancer, song man and bidiyamundu (didgeridoo) player, his practice honours ancestral markings and shares some stories of yulu burri ba, stories belonging to the sand and sea.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from the artist and gain deeper insight into the stories and cultural significance behind Painted Up.
