Our current exhibition is a small collection of Early Australian paintings and drawings owned by John Barkes in England and his brother Edward Barkes in Sydney. Included are these three rare watercolours of Eastern Warblers, Blue-Bellied Parrot and Crested Cockatoo. Sarah Stone made drawings from a set of Australian specimens sent to England from NSW by Surgeon John White. The drawings were engraved and published in John White's 'Journal of a Voyage to New South Wales' (London, 1790). These are early, accurate, near-contemporary copies. The exhibition finishes on Friday 28th November.

Kevin Foley’s etchings capture the soul and energy of farm life in the Central Victorian landscape, especially in the wintery months: the mist in the trees, the personalities of our furry and feathery friends, the stars and the moon and the stillness of the countryside.

A retired teacher, Kevin now devotes his time to his art with his studio on a small farm in Mia Mia, Victoria. We have exhibited Kevin’s etchings for twelve years now and are always delighted with his latest works.

All works are unframed with cost of framing $200 or less
