Teens Pottery (12-17yrs) with the Bunbury Studio Potters
5 Weeks starting Thursday 21st of May 2026
End Date: 25th of June
Time: 4:30pm - 6:30pm

PLEASE NOTE : There is no class on Thursday 18th of June - this is to give the pottery pieces time to dry out a bit more before glazing on the 25th of June.

What you will learn: Learn various pottery techniques, including hand building and glazing.

Level: Beginners
Suitable Ages: 12-17 years old
Maximum Participants: 10
Materials provided by the Tutor: All materials provided.

Kids Garden Butterfly with the Bunbury Studio Potters

What you will learn: Come and join us in the Pottery Studio to make your own Garden Butterfly! After you make your butterfly, you can decorate it any way you wish before a stake is attached. It will make a charming addition to any garden setting!

Hand & Wheel Introduction to Studio with the Bunbury Studio Potters
Dates & Times
First Session: Wednesday 13 May || 5:00 - 9:00pm
Second Session: Thursday 14 May || 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Third Session: Wednesday 20 May || 5:00pm - 9:00pm
Fourth Session (glazing): Saturday June 6 || 9:00am - 11:00am

What you will learn: This introductory course runs over 4 sessions and covers hand building and wheel techniques required to become a member of the Bunbury Studio Potters group. This course is comprehensive and is foundational to become an independent Potter.

You now have more time to learn! The tutors have extended the teaching hours so that you can really explore this wonderful craft.

Participants must be available for all 4 sessions. Make-up classes or refunds will not be offered if you cannot make a session.

Flower Tile with the Bunbury Studio Potters

What you will learn: Make a garden wall tile with interesting texture tools and a 3D sculpted flower which will then be painted using underglazes and oxides. You can also add any embellishments you like!

A huge thank you to Lotterywest for supporting Bunbury Studio Potters with funding for some much‑needed studio upgrades. Thanks to their generosity, we now have new pottery wheels, fresh sinks, a trolley cart for our kiln furniture, display furniture for events, beautiful new banners, and even custom BSP aprons for when we’re out in the community.

These upgrades make our studio safer, more accessible, and even more inspiring for everyone who walks through our doors. We’re so grateful for the support that helps keep our creative community thriving.

Tree Street Art Safari is on this Saturday 21st of March! In conjunction with Tree Street Art Safari,
Bunbury Studio Potters will be offering a free kids activity again this year. Planting succulents in a handmade planter made by our very own talented potters. You'll find us at Garvey Place Park 10am - 4pm. Looking forward to seeing you there!
