You can count on one hand the number of days left to make the entry deadline for Matthew Flinders Art Prize this year.

FOUR.

Yes, just Thursday, tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday to move on entering your work for this prestigious and popular event here at Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.

Our sincere thanks to the wonderful sponsors for helping make this happen every year. Please support THEM where and when you can.

Sue Gardner Artist of the Month-JUNE
We were delighted to listen to Sue Gardner on Friday at the Artist of the Month morning tea.
Prompted by Sue Davy who had many great questions, Sue Gardner ( so many Sues ) was very generous in describing her unique printing process.
She introduced many of us to the use of a Gelli Plate which she uses to print her amazing textured backgrounds.
Her talents are many and to complete a piece she uses stencils, acrylic paint and often collage using her own artwork.
She never sets out to create a specific artwork, instead she lets the background composition lead her to where it wants to go.
You can view Sue’s work on our Artist of the Month Wall for the entirety of June.
Sue will also be part of the Upcoming Bribie Arts Trail in September .
