Our Story

The Booleroo Steam and Traction Society was formed in 1968 after an inaugral Rally held on the property of the late Brian Knaerhause. The Annual Rallies grew in popularity year after year. When the Annual Rally reached 70 exhibits it was decided to move it to its current site at the Booleroo Centre Oval. This is now the home to our Museum, Workshop and Meeting Rooms.

A fully functioning blacksmiths shop as well as many other items from an era long gone. We welcome visitors to our Annual Rally to enjoy seeing our collection working, in addition to visiting exhibitors.
