1 Jenkins Street, Birkenhead SA 5015
(next to the Birkenhead Bridge enter via Semaphore Rd). P.A.A.F. - Port Adelaide Artists Forum and Dragon Boat SA are caretakers of Gallery Yampu. When the flags are out, the Gallery is open. Yampu

is the Kaurna word for dolphin ( the 'p' in Yampu has a 'pb' sound)
PAAF acknowledge the Kaurna people as the original custodians of The Port and their spiritual connection to the land, river and sea. PAAF sought permission from Kaurna Warra Pintyandi http://www.adelaide.edu.au/kwp/ before using the word Yampu for their Gallery. PAAF chose to name our gallery after dolphins because they swim by it everyday, often coming right up to the rivers edge by our building. Port Adelaide Artists Forum Inc is a voluntary organisation. Members meet regularly at Gallery Yampu (pronounced Yampbu) the former historic Port Adelaide Sailing Club to discuss and plan community art events in The Port and Le Fevre Peninsula and to mix with other artists. Membership is free. PAAF networks with other arts organisations to create events in Gallery Yampu. PAAF has a very active page which has an extensive collection of photos of their activities and events: Adelaide Artists Forum: https://www.facebook.com/Port-Adelaide-Artists-Forum-295126227814312/

Gallery Yampu has no valuables or money stored on site.
