We are off and running with this year's Christmas Crafts and decorations.
Our clever craft group have created the most beautiful baubles.
There was lots of reminiscing of Christmas’ past, cooking the Christmas Dinner and family gatherings.

It was the Men’s turn to visit the Tocumwal Aerodrome and what fun we had. Lots of laughter and banter, fish and chips on the Tocumwal Foreshore with a friendly kookaburra and then we found a koala at Town beach.

The Men’s group are still talking about this outing.

A huge thank you to the Federal Hotel Berrigan.

Not only did Paul and the team excel in putting on the absolute best Halloween walk through around, but they also raised a whopping $602.00 for Amaroo Aged Care's Lifestyle Department.

This generous donation will be put to good use. We will now be able to replenish our painting, art and craft supplies.

To say we were excited is an absolute understatement!

On Wednesday some of the residents got the chance to walk through the interactive display. Not one of them scared easily and all enjoyed it immensely.

Me (Lisa) on the other hand ... I don’t think I’ve ever jumped so much!

Wednesday’s outing included a scenic drive with a stop at the Tocumwal Blowhole on our way to lunch at the Tocumwal Aviation Museum Drome Cafe.

We managed morning tea, a tour of the Museum and lunch before taking the scenic route home to look at all the growing crops in the area.

We returned with full bellies and wealth of knowledge about the significant, unique and secret part of Australia’s civil and military history here in Tocumwal.

The staff at the Aerodrome were wonderful and so accommodating.

"On a personal note … I had not one but two of the best coffee’s around!" said Quality/Lifestyle Manager Lisa Stanton.

Congratulations to all our residents who placed entries in the Berrigan Show. We were well represented.

All awards were presented this morning at a special Morning Tea held here at Amaroo.

Amaroo Aged Care Quality/Lifestyle Manager Lisa Standen said the residents thoroughly enjoyed entering their crafts at this year's show.

"I personally would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Volunteers who assisted in sourcing, creating, encouraging and transporting our entries to and from the Show.

"Our residents couldn’t have done it without your help. All our items have been proudly popped on display throughout our facility," Lisa said.
