View Street will come alive with a vibrant Artist Market and live music from 10am to 2pm on Saturday June 13.

The View St Artists will be there demonstrating and selling their art via market stalls.

There will be pottery, mosaic, and live art demonstrations, as well as pop up stalls, t-shirt printing, and even an opportunity to get your dog’s portrait captured!

Make a day of it with delicious food and coffee, boutique shopping, free live music on the portico of the Capital, and an Artists on View exhibition opening at Dudley House.

View Street Amplified performers include:

🎤 The Royal High Jinx (12.30pm - 2pm)
🎤 Sultry Sistas (2.15pm - 3pm)

✨ It’s time for a beautiful new chapter!

One of our Artists within the collective has shared:

With so much gratitude, I’m sharing that June will be my last month at 18 View Street. Since 2020, it has been an absolute joy being a part of the View Street Artist Collective at . This space has helped me step fully into my ‘artist’ shoes, grow my practice, and connect with so many of you. I am so humbled by the stories and memories you’ve shared with me in my sunny studio over the years. 🎨

For the rest of the year, I’ll be stepping back to focus on my family. Thankfully, art is a lifelong journey, and this little break from the day-to-day will be a wonderful time to reflect and refill the tank of inspiration. 💛

It's time for another Bit Sketchi Bendigo event with Kim Lowe from 2inspire.

Kim's first Bit Sketchi collaboration is happening on Sunday 21 June with Bendigo Brewing. They have joined forces to bring you a fun sketching event that you and your friends or family can all enjoy in a relaxed, welcoming venue.

Come along and participate in a fun, quick and quirky sketching session where we draw/paint our surroundings, while enjoying a beer, wine or soft drink (included in your ticket)!

You will also have the chance to enter your sketch into the “People’s Choice Award” with the chance to win a $50 Bendigo Brewing gift voucher!

While you sketch, you may also like to try some of their delicious wood fired pizza, burgers or fries.

What's on in the studio - Sketching out some ideas using the basic photo editor on my phone.

I do this over a photo of a painting. Best way to find a direction when I'm stuck or too petrified to put more paint on my canvas.

Something good is happening. But I need to edit out some other things. My problem ALWAYS ... What things!!!

It's time for an introduction! I'm Kim Lowe, one of the artists in the View St Artist Collective in Valentine's Antique Gallery.

I love working across a mix of mediums - watercolour is my first love, followed closely by digital drawing, acrylics, and urban sketching. My style leans toward quick, quirky ink sketches with a splash of watercolour, and I’m especially drawn to capturing Bendigo’s historic buildings and iconic landmarks in digital form.

I’ve also launched a new event series called Bit Sketchi Bendigo - you’re always welcome to join us.

Animals and nature often find their way into my work too, and I’m always open for commissions.

So, if you’re wandering through Bendigo, pop into the View St Artist Collective, I’d love for you to see what I’ve been creating 🩷
