What’s happening this weekend?
So glad you asked, as it is another beautiful weekend coming up here at The Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.
There should be sunshine after all this rain and the days are cooler.
This weekends workshops are
Gelli plate Printing with Robin Jensen on Sunday 31st May
Life drawing sessions kick off with Terry Wilkinson coordinating also on Sunday 31st May.
Please contact tutors directly for these workshops (info on flyers).
Sunday is also the day the Bribie Gem Club and the Bribie Woodies have their Open Day from 8am -12midday.
Our Matthew Flinders Gallery hosts the Reddy Arts Textile Group,
The gift Galleries are overflowing with treasures and Sabine Von Graz is still our Artist of the Month for May.
Natalie Hill, aka April Bansy will be demonstrating her beautiful colour in books in the Foyer and there is a wonderful raffle happening as well (more on that later)
Cafe 191 will be open daily until around 12.30pm
So why not visit us this weekend, you will be glad you did.

With every planning meeting of the Matthew Flinders Art Prize committee, excitement builds.

We're counting entries and opening night tickets here at Bribie Island Community Arts Centre as they roll in.

Time's getting away if you've plans to enter the 2026 Matthew Flinders Art Prize here at Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.

Countdown to deadlines is on.
Earlybird entry closes June 14; other entries close June 21.
Our golden event is an annual winner - whether you take out a prize or not.
Your work/s displayed in our beautiful gallery before the thousands of visitors who come to see the exhibition. And two highly-esteemed judges peruse them and give you personal feedback, if you so wish.

What a fabulous Meet the Artist morning we had this morning with the Reddy Arts Textile Group.
Each of the 10 artists were there to chat to visitors and friends alike for over 2 hours and it was a great success. There was a buzz in the gallery and red dots kept appearing on the walls as fabulous flowers were purchased in armfuls.
The Exhibition continues for a further 2 weeks, so do not miss this fabulous Textile Art Exhibition.
