To our community! Following the success of the Looking Ahead – Shaping our Future event in August, Apollo Bay Community Voice would like to bring local community organisations together for an informal catch-up.

Date: Friday 30 October
Time: 10.00–11.30 am
Venue: Marrar
This first meeting is a chance to hear what each organisation is doing, share plans for the remainder of the year and explore how we can work together for the benefit of our community.

We’ll also discuss the Stronger Communities Programme, recently promoted by our Federal Member, Dan Tehan, which offers grants of up to $20,000 for infrastructure projects. With a panel process determining which organisations progress to the second stage, it would be valuable to share ideas and consider how we might coordinate our efforts to support projects that deliver the greatest community benefit.

Help build stronger connections between the organisations that contribute so much to Apollo Bay and district.

RAV staff are heading to Apollo Bay, and we’d love to catch up with RAV Members and friends in the region!
Catch up at the Apollo Bay Mechanics Institute Hall (the Mech Hall) on Saturday 17 October for pre-show drinks from 6–7pm before we head along to see the Apollo Bay Theatre Collective’s 2026 production, The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by RAV Member Ella Bourne.
Come along to connect with RAV staff, meet fellow RAV Members, hear what’s happening in the region and support a local member’s production.

Local Creatives/Artist Opportunity: Otway Ocean Flow Festival, Apollo Bay 1 - 2 May 2027.
This new regional event blends cultural arts with wellness practices, aiming to attract 1,000 visitors to the area.
In addition to an open group exhibition “The Art of Flow” at Arts inc. Gallery, the Festival will hold a series of interactive workshops held in an Arts Marquee on the foreshore.
The organizers are currently seeking a few additional regional artists to facilitate these sessions.
Workshop Details:
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Capacity: Approximately 20 attendees
    • Payment: $250 plus a small material fee. You will also get a complimentary ticket to the Saturday night concert.
