Less than ONE WEEK left to book for this years Festival of Transport!

It's gearing up to be a cracker Festival this year! Come and join us to celebrate our new Wall of Fame Inductees, our Transport Women Dream Maker Award winners and our Inaugural History Makers along with the Razorback Blockade Reunion.

This event will take place as part of the Festival of Transport with the National Road Transport Museum National Road Transport Hall of Fame on the 26th August 2023!

There will be prizes for best dressed and the winners of the Transport Women Dream Maker Award will be announced!

We are also hosting a breakfast on the Friday morning 25th August 2023!

TWAL Chair Jacquelene Brotherton, Vice Chair Coralie Chapman and Company Secretary True Ross will all be there! We are so looking forward to catching up with old friends, meeting new connections and having a blast celebrating the amazing men and women in our industry!

The National Road Transport Museum are pleased to announce the Razorback Blockade Reunion.

Being held on Saturday 26 August, join us for our Truckies Reunion Breakfast before attending the Shell Rimula Wall of Fame induction ceremony where the Razorback Blockade will be awarded with our inaugural History Makers Award.

SAVE THE DATE - RAZORBACK BLOCKADE REUNION

In 1979, six courageous truck drivers blocked the highway near the famous Razorback Ridge. After years of complaint about their working conditions, the actions of these drivers and others around Australia forced governments to agree on radical changes to taxation and truck operation.

We look forward to honouring and celebrating these men during our Festival of Transport in August.

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. Held from 15 – 21 May 2023 it is a week to celebrate and acknowledge the vital work of our volunteers.

We'd like to give a shout out and huge thank you to all the amazing volunteers who give their time and hard work to the National Road Transport Museum!

This years Legends Gala Dinner at Alice Springs will incorporate our first annual ‘Transport Women Unite Red Ball’ on Saturday night. This event was originally scheduled for May, however we thought it better to postpone and include in our Festival of Transport!

The Red Ball will also be host to the inaugural Transport Women Dream Maker Award. This award is to recognise the women in the industry who work behind the scenes, and help those who front the organisation to achieve their dreams, whether it be an owner/operator, a family business or a large company.

This will be a celebration event for both our new Shell Rimula Wall of Fame inductees and our Transport Women Dream Maker Award winners.

Come dressed in your best reds and enjoy a night of food, drinks, entertainment and more!

Location: Kenworth Pavilion, National Road Transport Museum.
Dress Code: Red Formal
Time: 6pm for a 6.30pm start
