Remembering Barney Campbell Tjakamarra (1928-2006) - a senior law man and elder, Barney earned the right to paint the Tingari Cycle stories. These song cycles or creation stories form part of the teachings of initiated youth and provide the basis for contemporary customs.
This is one of the last paintings he did in Boomerang Art Gallery in 2006, prior to passing away. I just took out of storage today and displayed it in our Alice springs Outback Gallery. Follow this link to view this painting completed. https://boomerangart.com.au/products/3541
