Last Friday night was so fun, I think we’ll do it again! 🎷

Thank you to everyone who came out to Studio Sessions, you truly made it a successful night.

This is something we (James & Matt) would love to do on a more consistent basis so your support really helps.

Our goal is to create a creative house, a vessel for those with creative souls. Not just our own studios to help us pursue our passions but a place that people can come to create, inspire and showcase their own work. Studio Session is just another way for us to extend ourselves and open our doors to those who share that creative spirit.

BLOOM // GROUP EXHIBITION

Showcasing 15 South Australian creatives in a multidisciplinary exhibition, examining the individual and collective experiences of the algal bloom that has affected our South Australian coastline. Bloom critical dialogue and fervour surrounding an ongoing ecological issue, exploded through experimental visual art and design modes.

Held at The Basement Gallery & Studio and presented by Adelaide Design Week

The Basement presents *Studio Session*
Live jazz, bar, sketchbooks & plenty of art.

All that’s missing is you! Come by this Friday the 9th of October at 7pm

The night will feature the all new amazing Jazz group ‘Table Talk’ along with drinks from the bar, sketchbooks and canvases for you to get creative with and plenty of art to see while you get comfy in a warm laid back environment.

We’re thrilled to present our last exhibition for the first half of the year, ‘SYMBOL’, a collaboration by Joshua Sleep & Maddie Stevens.

Some words from Joshua & Maddie,
,
“‘Symbol’ is a photographic inquiry into human constructs of Western culture. Through the artwork
of two artists, Joshua Sleep and Maddie Stevens, thought-provoking juxtapositions are made
through an absurdist lens, challenging preconceived ideas of meaning. Within the artworks, the
artists will present two juxtaposing ideas, feminine and masculine, and hand signs and language.
These meanings will clash, drawing attention to the absurdity that lies in the middle and that of the
interactions of the natural and the human-made—natural and unnatural”

Opening night is Friday, May 8th, from 6pm to 9pm!
