„Fragility as Form“

Following the successful opening of our second solo exhibition of Constantin Luser (born 1976 in Graz), we look forward to your visit of the exhibition „Fragility As Form.“
Luser transcends the boundaries of conventional drawing by intertwining drawing, object, and sound, questioning the function of the line when it - as so aptly described in the Kunsthalle Mannheim catalogue - „leaves the two-dimensional picture plane, conquers space, begins to move, or manifests itself like an invisible sound. Delicate, fragile, and seemingly fragile abstract wire objects float in space, moving subtly; their interplay of light and shadow suggests shifts in perspective and the fluidity of thought.“
We invite you to engage with this subtle interplay and to view Constantin Luser’s spatial drawings from all angles.

Following the extensive retrospective at the Kunsthalle Mannheim of Constantin Luser, who caused a sensation last year at one of the most important exhibition institutions of modern art in the USA - the Menil Collection in Houston - we are presenting his second solo exhibition in our gallery.

Come and visit our current exhibition » Can you hold me « by Georg Haberler.

The Austrian artist has been intuitively drawn to working with textiles ever since his first artistic attempts and uses the sewing machine to explore the surface of his linen canvas with needle and thread. This way, he creates a completely new structure and gives his works a sculptural and spatial quality which particularly emphasizes the fullness and three-dimensionality of his embroidery art.

We are looking forward to letting you dive into his narrative works to write your own story.
