„Nur nicht nach Haus“
Opening: Saturday, 28 March, 3 – 5 pm

We are pleased to invite you to the opening of „Nur nicht nach Haus“, the second solo exhibition by Tammy Langhinrichs (b. 1995, Hamburg) at Elektrohalle, featuring a new body of work specifically conceived for this occasion

Centering on a „tale of bandits,“ the exhibition features sympathetic outsiders and distorted balaclavas that shift from symbols of threat into playful, comic motifs. By focusing on the fundamental structure of clothing - as a series of openings designed for the body - Langhinrichs frames these vestimentary vehicles not as mere coverings, but as essential conditions for identity, intimacy, and shelter.

A 2023 MFA graduate of Andreas Slominski at HFBK Hamburg, Langhinrichs has gained swift recognition for her sculptural practice. Her work has been featured, among others, in a solo presentation with the gallery at Art Düsseldorf 2024, as well as a group exhibition at the Salzburger Kunstverein in 2025, and is represented in the permanent collection of the Salzburg Museum.

We are pleased to present Vienna based artist , who will debut his first solo exhibition at Elektrohalle in September 2026.

Born in Graz in 1989, Riedmüller is a 2017 graduate of the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Judith Eisler.

Paul Riedmüller’s artistic practice engages with image sources from a wide range of contexts, including digital found footage, AI-generated visuals, 3D models, personal photographs, and everyday observations. These materials serve as the starting point for his painterly translations, which he assembles into collages and develops through a deliberate, analog process.

Through precise rendering, Riedmüller transforms originally digital or technical imagery into a new, tactile language. For him, this process transcends simple reproduction; it is an act of appropriation and a conscious „pausing“ that allows for a deep engagement with perception. The manual nature of his work stands in deliberate contrast to the ephemeral speed and surface-level quality of digital image production.

”Free Pillows“
until 21 March 2026

The second solo exhibition by Salzburg-born artist Florian Donnerstag at Elektrohalle is a masterclass in painterly virtuosity. Here, painting is practiced radically as a high-tension sport. The title “Free Pillows” serves as an ironic lure: where one might expect softness, domestic retreat, or the historical stability of the „three pillows“ (monarchy, church, law), Donnerstag serves up a visual friction that keeps the eye in a state of constant unrest.

His canvases are kinetic force fields. Through an alchemical interplay of glazes, spray mists, and graphic overlays, he allows geometric bodies to drift through diffuse chromatic spaces. This architecture of layering cites the experimental spirit of Sigmar Polke, yet translates it into a technoid, fleeting aesthetic of the present. Between cool greys and eruptive nuances of blue, he creates paintings that seem to breathe physically.

Born in Salzburg in 1990 and raised in Mondsee, the Munich-based artist studied architecture in Innsbruck before turning to fine arts in 2017. He studied painting and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in the class of Prof. Markus Oehlen, who appointed him Meisterschüler in 2023. Donnerstag completed his studies in February 2024 under Prof. Andreas Breunig.

31 January – 14 March 2026

Opening reception: Saturday, 31 January, 2 – 4 pm

We are delighted to present a series of new paintings by Florian Donnerstag, created specifically for the artist’s second solo exhibition at Elektrohalle.

Donnerstag’s practice inhabits a captivating space between figurative suggestion and process-oriented abstraction. His latest canvases function as visual diaries or fragile dreamscapes; atmospheric washes, translucent glazes, and a remarkably fluid line, he constructs scenarios where human silhouettes, geometric solids, and surreal symbols converge.

Lunita-July Dorn

Wer passt schon ganz in diese Welt?
until 24 January 2025

The young woman’s eyes search thoughtfully into the distance. It is not clear where she is looking. Nor is it clear who she is looking at. She sits pensively at her window, strides through wild meadows, dances through dazzling rain. She is restless and calm at the same time – but always determined. The protagonist in Lunita-July Dorn’s paintings doesn’t always appear alone; she is sometimes depicted in pairs or in group scenes. The female figures lovingly reach out their hands to one another, protectively place their arms around each other, and embrace each other intimately. –

Lunita-July Dorn (1999 born in Berlin, lives and works in Berlin) studies at the Kunsthochschule Weißensee under Friederike Feldmann. She is currently nominated for the Young Generation Art Award 2025, established by Degussa Goldhandel in cooperation with Monopol magazine.
