Thanks to your enthusiasm and inspiration, we are announcing our next “Drink&Draw”. This time, a male figure will pose for us! So we are looking forward to seeing you! Let’s draw together!!!

ZIEGEL is our space for drawing together, meeting new people, and supporting the local art community.

How does it work?
You come to ZIEGEL and draw from a live model. Your level of experience or artistic skills does not matter at all — this event is about meeting people, networking, and simply spending a good time together ✨

Lili Rebeka Tóth (HU)
ZIEGEL, Graz

Hungarian curator and writer Lili Rebeka Tóth is currently in Graz as part of the St.A.i.R. (Styria-Artist-in-Residence) program. During the Curatorial Talk, she will present her curatorial practice, current research, and some of the encounters developed during her stay in Graz.

Lili Rebeka Tóth is an independent curator and editor-in-chief of Artmagazin Online. This summer, she joins KIN Brussels as a research associate. She graduated from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College (CCS) in 2024 and began her PhD research at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MoME) in 2025. Her research focuses on atmospheric in exhibition-making and the concept of “new sensuality” in contemporary art. She teaches Contemporary Art and Theory at Budapest Metropolitan University and at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Over the past several years, she has worked as an assistant registrar at the Hessel Museum and as an assistant curator at Portikus. Her recent curatorial projects include Lelet T-6391/3, a solo exhibition by Lili Agg at Torula; the International Thematic Booth, 5.000.000.000, at Budapest Contemporary; and the group exhibition of the Esterházy Art Award at Ludwig Museum Budapest (What We Believe In).

The Styria Artist-in-Residence – St.A.i.R. for short. - is a scholarship from the state of Styria, aimed at international artists and art theorists from all disciplines.

The event will be held in English.

Yesterday evening, on Friday, the 3rd concert by the wonderful musicians Kseniia Stakhanska , Oleksandr Dmytrenko, and Danylo Novoseltsev took place at ZIEGEL. We are happy that so many guests joined us that cozy evening and grateful to all participants of the event. From now on, we will be organizing a jazz club every first Friday of the month. 🎸🎷🎤
Gestern Abend, am Freitag, fand in der ZIEGEL das dritte Konzert der wunderbaren Musiker:innen Kseniia Stakhanska, Oleksandr Dmytrenko und Danylo Novoseltsev statt. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass so viele Gäste zu uns an diesen gemütlicher Abend gekommen sind, und bedanken uns bei allen Teilnehmer:innen des Events. Ab jetzt organisieren wir jeden ersten Freitag im Monat einen Jazzclub.

Elio Polyanskiy
Crossing the Self
This exhibition brings together photographs and installations, showing works that have
long stayed hidden, created long before my life was divided into before and after. The works are personal, reflecting what matters to me. Crosses, faded colors, cold
asphalt, cigarette packs, and traces of memory form a visual language of tension, duality, and presence.
Viewers are invited to move through the space, engage with the visible and the hidden, and confront identity, and what remains after time has passed. Some installations are interactive, allowing the audience to become part of the memory recollection.

Elio Polyanskiy
Born in Kyiv, Ukraine / Based in Vienna, Austria
Elio Polyanskiy works with photography, video, and installation. His practice focuses on identity, memory, and perception, exploring how meaning appears
through the act of looking. He works with both real and staged situations, using repetition, distance, and controlled
composition. His projects often combine image, sound, and space.
He is interested in images that do not explain, but hold tension.
Recent work includes the solo exhibitions Liquid Memory and 39h in Vienna, as well as
participation in the group exhibition Uncertainty 4ever. His films Obsidian and 39h have
also been screened in Vienna.

🚨Urgent action needed! Prevent a cultural catastrophe in Styria - The ORF state fee must stay!

If the FPÖ has its way, the ORF (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation) state fee will be abolished in Styria in 2027. It’s a small contribution: €4.70 per month per household. A cappuccino, a beer, a bread roll. But for art, culture, and sports, this would have catastrophic consequences. €30 million comes from these funds – almost a third of the culture budget. The authoritarian transformation of our society is imminent if we don’t prevent it!
