"Figures In Green", a 1952 woodblock print; ink and colour on paper, by Yoshida Hodaka (吉田 穂高, 1926–1995), a pioneering 20th century Japanese modernist artist who worked first in oils and then, from the 1950s onwards, in the woodblock print medium.

Hodaka was the second son of Yoshida Hiroshi (吉田 博; 1876-1950) and Yoshida Fujio (吉田 ふじを, 1887-1987), and the younger brother of Yoshida Tōshi (吉田 遠志, 1911-1995), all well known and highly respected artists in their own right.

From the beginning of his career, he broadened the range of styles and techniques used by the acclaimed Yoshida family of artists.
