We are honored to present the solo exhibition of Walid Al Agha, a leading light in contemporary Syrian art.
For decades, Agha has transformed ancient scripts—Arabic, Sumerian, Assyrian—into far more than calligraphy: into an evocative visual language that carries history, memory, and identity.
Through layered textures, earthy palettes, and symbolic geometry, he turns letters and architectural motifs into contemporary compositions, where every stroke becomes a bridge between past and present.
Curated in collaboration with Samer Kozah Gallery, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience a body of work that resonates with cultural memory, subtle mysticism, and timeless elegance.
Join us for this special exhibition in The Khan, Old Damascus – Medhat Basha Street, opening Friday, 19 December 2025, and on view until 15 January.
يسعدنا تقديم المعرض الفردي لوليد الأغا، أحد أبرز الأسماء في المشهد التشكيلي السوري المعاصر.
على مدى عقود، أعاد الأغا تشكيل الحروف القديمة—العربية والسومرية والآشورية—لتصبح لغة بصرية نابضة بالتاريخ والذاكرة والهوية، متجاوزًا حدود الخط التقليدي.
من خلال الطبقات الغنية، والألوان الترابية، والهندسة الرمزية، يحوّل الحرف والعمارة إلى تراكيب معاصرة، يصبح فيها كل خط جسرًا يصل الماضي بالحاضر.
وبالتعاون مع غاليري سامر قزح، يأتي هذا المعرض كفرصة نادرة لاكتشاف أعمال تتردد فيها الذاكرة الثقافية وروحانية خفية وأناقة خالدة. 🕊
