A Milestone in Filipino Contemporary Art

Acclaimed Filipino artist Keenan Garrido has marked a breakthrough moment with the sale of his evocative painting “Descent Into Self” for AED 75,000 to collector Wella Mañabo, Founder & CEO of Wels Gallery.

Unveiled during World Art Dubai 2025 at the Filipino Pavilion – Spectro Lucid stand, the acquisition affirms Garrido’s rising presence in the Middle Eastern art market and the universal resonance of his deeply psychological narratives.

Currently, “Descent Into Self” is on view at L’AVENUE Restaurant, Ras Al Khaimah inviting guests to encounter the artwork’s profound journey of introspection in a unique cultural and lifestyle setting.
