ولِما لا نحبها ولذلك خلقنا!

“We love life whenever we can find a way to it.”

ونحن نحب الحياة إذا ما استطعنا إليها سبيلا
— محمود درويش

Why wouldn’t we love life,
when we were created to live it and hold on to it?
Let’s not allow evil forces to steal that love from our hearts.

Been asked the same questions over and over…They ask about the art… but the answers are never just about art!

1. What inspires you?

Honestly, I don’t always know.
It usually starts with a small idea or a feeling, and then I just follow it — my hand kind of takes over.

2. Where do your ideas come from?

From somewhere inside me.
Something I see, hear, or feel in the outside world turns into something visual on canvas — it happens naturally, even if I can’t fully explain it.

3. Why Arabic?

Because I’m a very proud Arab.
I find deeper meaning in emotions when they’re expressed in Arabic — especially through poetry, or even a single letter.
Sometimes just looking at a letter and pronouncing it… you can feel a kind of energy around it. Something almost magical.

4. How are you so patient with all those details?

I’m actually not patient at all.
I just found peace in drawing, and that’s what keeps me there.

5. Why do you sell prints?

To make a living, honestly.
And because prints are more affordable, which means more people can own a piece and connect with the work.

6. Do you sell original pieces?

Yes, I do —
for those who truly appreciate them and are able to invest in them.

7. How long does one piece take?

Sometimes weeks… sometimes months.
The longest I’ve ever spent on a painting was 9 months.
But in the end, it’s not really about time — it’s about the moment it feels complete.

8. Do you sketch first or go straight in?

Sometimes I plan, but most of the time I just start and trust the process.

9. Which piece is your favorite?

The last one… and the next one I haven’t created yet.

10. Is your art personal?

Very.
Even when it doesn’t look like it.

11. Is this your full-time thing?

Yes!
And when people ask, “Is that enough?”
I always think… what is “enough”?
Because sometimes,
being felt… is worth more than being paid.

In one week, March 2026 gave us everything…

Ramadan’s stillness,
the rush of work,
the joy of Eid,
the weight of war,
and storms that filled the sky.

So much happening… all at once.

And yet—here we are.
Standing. Moving. Living. Falling in Love everyday!

Because some souls were made for this.
Free, stubborn, full of life.

We bend with the wind,
but we never let it take us down.

Grateful hearts always find a way
to keep going… to keep choosing life.

Some paintings are not created… they are released.

Lately the world feels unbearably heavy.
War. Fear. Uncertainty.
A constant ache sitting in the chest with no clear name.
No predictions. No guarantees. Just noise, grief, and waiting.

It’s terrifying how a handful of harmful, self-centered souls can shake the nervous system of millions…
How cruelty travels faster than compassion…
How evil doesn’t just destroy cities — it seeps quietly into minds, sleep, relationships, hope.

So how do we stay sane?
How do we not break?
How do we accept a reality we never chose?

Maybe we don’t accept it all at once.
Maybe we move through it in stages.

Denial.
Anger.
Grief.
Exhaustion.

Denial isn’t weakness… sometimes it’s anesthesia.
A temporary shelter the mind builds so the heart doesn’t collapse.
Emotions this big cannot be swallowed whole — they must be digested slowly.

For artists, creating is not a luxury… it’s survival.
It’s resistance without weapons.
It’s breathing when the air feels poisoned with fear.

So we paint.
We write.
We build fragile worlds out of color and memory.

We close our eyes — not to escape reality,
but to imagine one worth returning to.

Because sometimes the only way to survive darkness
is to create light that doesn’t yet exist. ✨

Today I’m basically Cinderella… sweeping, dusting, moving things around in my little art kingdom 🧹✨

But every now and then we actually need this moment.
Not just to clean a space… but to shift the energy in it.

Sometimes the dust isn’t only on the shelves.
Sometimes it’s in our thoughts, in our routines, in our relationships.
And a small reset — moving things around, letting things go, opening space — can change more than we think.

With Eid around the corner after Ramadan, this little clean-up feels like preparation for something special 🌙

Yes, there are many heavy and unpleasant things happening around us in the world. But maybe creating moments of light, beauty, and celebration is our own quiet resistance.

Eid is too special not to celebrate.
Especially in times like this.

Because the most powerful thing we can do in a dark world… is to keep living, creating, and celebrating anyway. ✨

Life can change in a split of a second. One word. One look. One disappointment. And suddenly, something inside you is no longer the same.

We think we are strong, solid, unshakable — until we realize there was a thin layer quietly holding everything together… just waiting for the moment it could no longer pretend. And when it breaks, it’s not dramatic. It’s decisive. A shift. A point of no return.

No matter how much you try to return to who you were before that shock, before that betrayal, before that realization — your system refuses. Because every milestone, every attack, every heartbreak finds its own way to pe*****te deep into your soul. And somehow, each wound becomes a new level. A new awareness. A new beginning born from a shattered end.

The external wars we witness in this chaotic world are only louder versions of the silent wars we fight within ourselves every single day. We battle fear, pride, memory, ego… all while trying to reach the light — the Nour that feels so close yet so far.

Maybe we are nothing but feathers in the wind — fragile, reactive, carried by forces bigger than us — living inside a nervous system that is both incredibly complex and beautifully simple.

And maybe our only real tragedy is letting the ego speak louder than what our hearts truly want.

“ Better to see late than never “

This painting is a meditation on intuition—on البصيرة, the sacred inner sight that cannot be learned, only awakened. Some souls are touched by God with the ability to see beyond illusion, beyond the chaos and falsehood that move quietly around us. It is a rare gift, difficult to explain and impossible to ignore. Even when the mind resists, the soul sees. This clarity is both a blessing and a burden.

The work honors the power that rises from the depths—the language of the gut, the whisper of instinct.

These unseen currents guide us toward السر (the secret), a hidden knowing carried within the soul.

From the secret emerges النور (the light), revealing truth layer by layer, until vision becomes clear.

When the message is received and the lesson is embraced, it transforms into الحكمة (wisdom)—a quiet understanding that settles gently yet firmly within the heart.

All of this exists beneath one sacred veil: العرفان—a state of divine recognition, where intuition becomes vision, and vision becomes knowing. It is the highest form of clarity, the ability to sense truth before it takes shape in the visible world.

These were the whispers moving through me as this work came into being.

Ar-Raḥmān (الرَّحْمٰن) is one of the names of God in Islam, usually translated into English as:
“The Most Merciful” or “The Entirely Merciful.”

Inspired by Surah Ar-Raḥmān, this painting reflects the divine meaning of Ar-Raḥmān — the All-Encompassing Mercy.

It is a reminder that mercy (raḥma) and softness of heart (līn al-qalb) are not distant, divine qualities alone, but seeds placed within every human being.

Even a small share of these qualities has the power to soften lives, ease suffering, and bring harmony to the world.

Just as Surah Ar-Raḥmān repeatedly asks, “Which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?”, this work invites the viewer to recognize mercy as one of the greatest gifts—one that, when reflected in human hearts, makes life gentler, kinder, and more beautiful.

What should we draw today?
Why does drawing calm the nerves?
How do I even start drawing?
Who actually has time to sit and draw?
Okay, but what do I really get out of it?
Is drawing actually useful?
And all this effort too?
Seriously, how am I supposed to create something out of nothing?
Talk to me — and I’ll tell you how, why, and what the whole story is ❤️
