From August 20 to September 30, discover three new works by UK–UAE-based artist John Charles. Known for his visceral palette-knife technique and signature golden lines, Charles reinterprets cultural archetypes through a lens of abstraction and cinematic intensity.

In Icons Reborn, Superman, Spider-Man, and Venom are reimagined in bold, textured compositions — figures suspended between resilience and fragility, myth and human presence.

John Charles's investigation into the emotional and symbolic weight of pop culture is powerfully showcased in these three acrylic-on-canvas works.

From 20 August to 30 September, ftNFT Phygital Space is hosting Icons Reborn by UK–UAE-based artist John Charles.

This exhibition showcases three special artworks and portraits that reimagine some of the most recognisable figures in superheros and antiheroes comic book history:

- SkyBound, portraying Superman’s strength and humanity
- Born Hungry, capturing Venom’s raw, unrestrained energy
- Great Power, a dynamic study of Spiderman in motion.

Executed with John Charles’ signature palette knife technique and finished with his distinctive golden lines, the works bridge abstraction and realism while exploring themes of identity, transformation, and cultural legacy.

In a focused presentation of two acrylic-on-canvas works by Guevorg Antonyan, the artist’s investigation into the emotional charge of abstraction is vividly illustrated.

The two artworks are both Currently available and featured at ftNFT Phygital Space in Chinatown, Dubai Mall.

In Guev-Vitamorpheus-7 (2023), bursts of white, ochre, and emerald ignite across a saturated blue field, evoking a moment of fragmentation and cohesion held in luminous balance.

Guev-Vitamorpheus-8 (2023): unfolds with kinetic intensity, acidic greens, neon pinks, and shadowy voids collide and mutate, suggesting an alchemical process of transformation suspended in electric space.
