Congratulations to Shalom Kufakwatenzi on the opening night of your first solo show. It was both exciting and challenging to bring my curatorial voice to this brilliant body of work. Thank you to the arts community for turning up and to ZICCA for the exhibition space. The show is open from thr 11th to the 31st of October, at Old Greatermans Building, ZICCA on the 2nd Floor.

Shalom Kufakwatenzi, is a visionary artist whose narrative resonates with the core of our human experience in exploring identity and transformative space for belonging. Shalom invites us to step into the cocoon—a space of introspection, growth, and metamorphosis. This exhibition is not just a display of art; it is an invitation to embark on a personal journey, to shed off old layers and to emerge renewed enlightened and redefined.

On this platform in the next couple of weeks we would like to feature a diverse and talent group of artists in the Collaborative Language of Printmaking project Animal Farm Artist Residency, a project in which Creative Lounge Trust is a part of funded by U.S. Embassy Zimbabwe. And we are already thinking about exhibiting and selling print and drawings from Zimbabwe!
