The Weeping Man: (Earthenware Glazed Man on Naked Raku vessel). I saw a broken-hearted man on his haunches weeping unapologetically on the street. The nudity here represents the raw (bare) emotion and the body is telling a grieving story in the language of its actions (not necessarily anatomically correct). He is not hiding his face in shame - he is holding and comforting himself in his grief.

My long time (30 years) love for making functional art out of clay and particularly for Raku-style glaze firing - has finally evolved from a hobby into a business. I have created an online store that specializes in selling (my) Raku-fired Ceramic Art pieces. Some are stand-alone art sculptures, but most are functional, as I don't see why a useful piece can't be beautiful if not interesting. Raku is risky and unusual, so it is rare and each piece is unique.
