✨LEGACY THURSDAY ✨

For more than 20 years, the South African Charity Golf Day (for the last 15 years Nedbank South African Charity Golf Day) has helped make a difference in the lives of vulnerable South Africans.

Since 2003, when President FW de Klerk became Patron of the initiative, its generous support has enabled the FW de Klerk Foundation to assist selected organisations that make a meaningful contribution to the lives of persons with disabilities and young people facing social and economic challenges.

A lasting legacy is one that continues to make a difference.

✨LEGACY THURSDAY ✨

On 10 May 2004, Presidents FW de Klerk and Nelson Mandela each addressed a joint sitting of Parliament to mark ten years of South Africa's democratic Parliament.

President FW de Klerk left Parliament with this simple but enduring message:

"I call on all our people now to continue to work together, to take hands and to make our wonderful country a shining example to the rest of the world."

A reminder that South Africa's future has always depended on our willingness to work together.
