Red Feather Lakes / Wellington / Nunn: Join the Red Feather Lakes Historical Society on a tour of the Bee Family Farm and the Drylanders Museum. The Bee Family Centennial Farm Museum is the historic preservation of an original homestead founded at the start of development of Northern Colorado. It has been maintained as an active family farm since 1894 and is designated a “Centennial Farm” by the State of Colorado Department of Agriculture and the Colorado Historical Society. In 2002, the farm was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Old Nunn Municipal Hall constructed in 1933-1934 as a Civil Works Administration Depression-Era project, the two-story building of painted concrete housed the police station, fire department, and town clerk. Community dinners, school activities, and various other family gatherings took place in the building. No longer used as a town hall, the High Plains Historical Society transformed it into a museum in the year 2000. Meet at Glacier View Office, Gate 8 at 8:00 am to car pool. Bring water, sunscreen, sack lunch, wear hat and wear good walking shoes. Info on page 3 - Cost is $10 for RFHS members & $15 for nonmembers RSVP by June 8. 8 am - 3 pm.
