In “Little and Big Blocks,” old book pages intertwine with the silhouettes of skyscrapers, each window reflecting a story waiting to be uncovered. Through his art, Guillaume Chansarel guides us to uncharted worlds, much like the lines of a book, where every pane reveals a new tale on our journey.

Fabienne Delacroix | Art of the Day | Hugo Galerie – New York
In the middle of the 18th century, a commerce category emerged in Paris: color merchants. These traders played a vital role in the lives of painters since they could provide them with raw materials and equipment. Initially, the paint was sold dried in a paste or tablet form. Artists had to grind the pigments finely and add a binder before use. Later, color merchants began to offer original mixtures and “ready-to-use” colors preserved in pork bladders to prevent them from drying out. In this painting, Fabienne Delacroix pays homage to this profession that has now disappeared.
