Led by Sandra and Dale Folkes, this singing ensemble will explore the exuberant art of gospel singing. Gospel has great historical importance to Black Americans, as a form of both expression and communication, and also laid the foundations for many other genres, including Rock and R&B. This inclusive class will explore the techniques of gospel singing in a communal setting. Note: This class is an artistic exploration of Gospel music, not a religious one. Fridays 9:30am-10:15am, Little Rockers Club (0-4), Sandra Folkes, $60â
Led by teaching artist, Sandra Folkes, this music class is designed for children ages 0-4 and their caregivers. Students will explore an inclusive selection of songs, instruments, movement, and connection in a warm and encouraging atmosphere.
We are ECSTATIC to announce that Creative Futures Cape Cod is back!!!
Creative Futures is a paid fellowship program for artists of all kinds, between the ages of 18 and 40, who have faced barriers to careers in the Creative Economy.
The fellowship is open to artists from any background, and prioritizes people of color, disabled people, low-income people, queer people, and those who have been impacted by the criminal justice system.
The 2024 session of Creative Futures will kick off in late January and last 16 weeks, concluding in early June. This yearâs session will include two tracks: The Artist Fellow Track and the Teaching Artist Development Track.
