Catalina Anghel is a professional Baker located in Vila-real, Spain.
She bakes since she can remember, with her grandmother and mother but started to be interested by sugar flowers 7 years ago as a therapy for a health problem. At first it was just a hobby, but little by little it turned into a real passion, addiction , and finally a essential part of her life – her full time job.
She loves to make sugar flowers- developed a method of her own,for making free formed flowers (no cutters or templates).
Catalina runs her own online sugar flowers academy and travels the world teaching her sugar flowers method.
Multi awarded sugar artist in different international cake shows and competitions, was one of the 4 finalists of Edible Artists Global Awards (IBE Hong Kong 2016), winner of the Global Sugar Artists Network Rising Star 2018 Award, Finalist Cakes Masters Magazine Sugar Flower Award 2019 aand 2022, D´licious Magazine Sugar Flower artist of the year Winner 2022.
Trained judge was part of the judging team on Welsh National Sugarcraft and Cake Show (February 2019) and several online competitions.

She participated in several collaborations-both national and international level and is the host of this yearly collaboration.
