Set in an original grain store that was built in 1882, Whitestone City is a central heritage hub that facilitates interactive tours of the Victorian Heritage Precinct. Fit-out in the style of a colonial town, where activities, displays, merchants and an array of people in costume provide a glimpse of what this Oamaru street would have been like in the town’s early days.

A reminder that Harbour Street will be closed to vehicles from tomorrow through to 28th April. Please see the attached map for disability parking options and loading zones. An ideal time to wander down Harbour Street with the family, take some photos without cars in the background and support our local businesses.

Lots of things to do, see and hear today outside Whitestone City with the Harbour St Jazz and Blues

Two lovely talented visitors today..

Today this was happening out the back of Whitestone City !. It was nice to see the Oamaru Steam and Rail's 1926 B10 getting a test steam run today after a 4 year absence due to getting the boiler tubes refitted.
