The Carrack was an artist-centered, volunteer-run, zero-commission exhibition, performance, and community event space in Durham, North Carolina from 2011-2019. The Carrack's mission was to empower local and underrepresented artists to forge productive ties with their community through professional exhibit and performance opportunities. The project was sustained by donations and volunteer support a

nd depended on the constant input and involvement of this community. Exhibits were free and open to the public. Some events had a suggested donation to support the artists or organizers.
