The majority are watercolour paintings, though both pastel and acrylic are included too. My main passion is animal painting, both the pet and the wild varieties. I also paint people, landscapes, flowers and a host of other subjects (basically anything that takes my fancy!!).

This is the 4th and final painting in the series "Horse & Rider". I hope you like it. I am very pleased with this monochrome (sepia) piece of art. Also pleased to say it is completed painting No. 300 too.

The first challenge of 2022 that I set my art group was the word "BOX", and to incorporate whatever that would inspire into their art. Well, here's my attempt at that challenge.

So, I decided that I wanted to be a little more "loose" in my painting style, and have been experimenting to that end. Not totally satisfied with the results, but had to get these out of my system. I am sure I will be returning to more "detailed" work soon.

One of the best experiences of my life was staying in The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, at the oasis of Al Maha. This was where we stayed.

I have been listening to a lot of classical music lately (not something I often do), which has been the inspiration for my latest painting.

The Art Of Graham Heys has been neglected of late, and in fact my art has been few and far between too. This Thai dancer is my most recent piece, inspired by a trip on The Eastern & Orient Express some years ago. Maybe I'm just missing my travel.

As some of you will know I run the local Newhaven & Peacehaven U3A Art Club. On 2 June, there will be a National U3A Day, and there are three local venues opening to celebrate. The Art Club work is displayed at one, and this will be it, located inside The Meridian Centre in Peacehaven.
