A few months ago, my husband and I started seriously discussing moving abroad. This prompted me to consider (finally) letting go of my favorite paintings from the decade that I have been creating art. I've always kept a piece or two from every collection I've made and now I must part with them as I embark on my next adventure. So I'm finally making them available to you. If you have been following my work over the years, you might see some of your favorites, too! These are all one-of-a-kind handmade creations. Each painting has a beautiful story and spirit.

I have been lucky to have such a fulfilling art career. I get the privilege of spreading creative joy through hundreds of paintings (and thousands of prints) and have built lasting relationships along the way. When I started this journey, I was just a shy artist looking for connection - but I found more than I could ever imagine through gallery shows, art festivals, and connecting with folks online everyday. It's wonderful how art can bring us together.

My hope is that you will find as much joy in viewing this art as I did in painting it! I have long wished to capture the magic in this world through my brushes and frame them up for you to take home! In her hidden post among the shady branches lurks a wonderous creature known as the Alkonost. She takes on the hybrid form of bird and woman. Although she may be beautiful to look upon, the Alkonost is a loathsome creature. She is exasperated by hope and happiness, and is forever shrouded in bitterness and sorrow. The Alkonost prowls ceaselessly in search of unsuspecting souls to drag into oblivion. Her counterpart, the Sirin, is a gentle creature who lives beyond the sea, on a heavenly island. The ushers in the souls of the dead who have lost their way, and offers them the promise of endless summers and eternal bliss. The Alkonost and Sirin are forever in search of mortal souls in lure into the darkness or the light.

Snegurochka, translated to snow maiden from Russian, is the counterpart to Ded Moroz, the grandfather of frost. She is a Slavic character that appears around the winter holidays. After the cold months are over, Snegurochka melts away.
