This rock has been a LONG time coming, and is it a special one!

It was requested of me to create a rock for Elizabeth “Liz” along Furia, a woman with many passions and pursuits! She was a horseback rider, a chef, an artist, a world traveler; she had so many amazing qualities that I was able to weave into this rock!

Liz passed away in May of this year after a battle with biliary cancer.

I never met Liz, but I hope I did justice with her memory rock! She seems like she was just a beautiful person who lived life to the fullest. 🥰

As I’ve shared on my page before, something I do in the time I’m not making art is work towards my masters degree in art therapy!

This summer, I was super lucky to be welcomed as an intern for a private therapy practice in Lansdale. We had talked in June about running some art therapy sessions to get me some more practice running groups!

Last night, I was able to do a class with 3 boys where we explored emotions and how they can be displayed visually. I said “this might sound silly, but if anger was a line, what would it look like? Would it be straight? Wavy? Dashed? Jagged?”

After discussing lines and how they can represent different emotions, we reflected on current media like the Disney Pixar movie “Inside Out”, and how they represented emotions with certain colors. (Ex. Joy - yellow, sadness - blue, anger - red). I explained that even though this is how they are represented in this movie, it doesn’t mean that those colors have to mean those emotions for you! I said how purple is my favorite color because it makes me feel happy.

These are two minis I made last night as examples, right before I submitted my final exam and paper. 🤯 I have one more paper to submit before I am finished for the summer, but I am on my way to being one of Pennsylvania’s next art therapists!

Fun fact: my dream job is being a therapeutic consultant for Pixar!

I was able to cross these two cuties off of my to do list this week! How cute are Saint (green background) and Benson (blue background)?!

I didn’t finish all of the art I was trying to before this weekend, and I feel a little disappointed by that…. BUT it’s also important to me to maintain quality, so I’ll just thank you all in advance for your patience 🥰✨🫶🏻

Olivia and I, along with my mom, will be Disney bound starting this Sunday! I have some art that I will be planning to finish up and post sometime between this weekend and next weekend, probably paired with a bunch of cute pictures of Olivia at Disney 🥹

Hi from the beach! ☀️

We may be taking a getaway from life, I am certainly not getting away from my creative pursuits 🥰

Below are some new coloring pages I created for the SSD kids camp! I love creating these graphics for everyone to take some time to relax. It’s such a great experience giving each pup a personality page. One of my future goals is to create a coloring book to potentially sell on sites like Amazon or Etsy! Sometimes I just struggle coming up with ideas/themes. So, if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to drop them in the comments! 🎨

Also included are some very special pet portraits (one of which is a pup that I will always hold near and dear 🥹❤️). When I found out that a previous painting I had done was damaged in the mail, I knew immediately that I had to recreate it. I was even able to create 2 more pet portraits to go along with it! My challenge was to create 3 paintings that could be hung cohesively. I thought a nice sunset background would be perfect! I was so pleased with the result, but I was even more pleased to find out today that all 3 paintings made it to their home safely and not damaged! (Thanks USPS!) 📨

I also had the opportunity to make some art that I have never done before! My cousin Raegan had reached out to me with an inspiration pic, and I knew I had to try my hand at it. She shared that her friend was very into musical theater and had been the lead in several musicals. All of the girls in the painting below are the same person, just different outfits and hairstyles! And yes, the short blonde hair is really a wig 😉 This was such a cute result and I hope to do more in the future!

And, an exciting wedding update: I found my dress! I was able to share the experience with my family, some in person and some via FaceTime. It was such a special day! 🫶🏻

I started a new memorial project today that I am going to chip away at during the next couple weeks. I also brought my pack of paper, pencils, and markers to chip away at coloring page requests. I’m hoping to get in touch with you all soon! Thank you for your continued support, I hope everyone is having a beautiful summer so far! 👩‍🎨

Hi friends! 🫶🏻

It’s been a loooooong while since I’ve posted on this page. I hope you can forgive me! I’ve been very busy working on a personal project that I would love to share with you all 🥰

In January, I decided to leave my before and after care position to pursue a full time educational assistant role. It was an incredibly difficult decision, as it meant putting my internships for grad school on even more of a hold. 😔

I left a lot of great people behind, but I was lucky enough to meet even more great people! There were some days where I was so unsure of myself, but I kept showing up. Friday was my last day of the school year. Tomorrow I begin my second internship. I don’t run, but I DO chase my dreams 😉🏃‍♀️‍➡️

I have received many gifts in 25 years of life, and the special one I received from my students on Friday will live rent free in my head forever. With the help of their teacher, they designed a custom apron for my future art making endeavors 🥹

The project preoccupying me for the past few weeks has been a coloring book, made custom for the students in the 2C classroom. I interviewed each student in the class about their interests and paired those with what I had learned about them during the past year. With that information, I designed a coloring page for each student and compiled them all into a class coloring book 🎨

This was so cool. A challenge, for sure, but my heart feels so happy that I was able to leave each student in the class with this parting gift, if you will. I can’t wait to do this again in the future! ☀️

Luna and Wesley rocks for Mary! She has been waiting SO patiently for these, and I am so grateful for it! 🥹

My goal with these rocks was to make something unique for each one, but I also wanted to make them cohesive. I hope I did them justice 💓

Hi everyone!! I wanted to share some of my most recent work! 🎨

3 pet portraits for Jenn, which I have been so excited to post because LOOK how cute they turned out, I can’t even!! 🥰

A couple coloring pages for Susan- Barracuda, who is an absolute doll, and Rachel, a therapy dog! Rachel is named after Rachel Carson, a marine biologist and environmentalist. For dogs named after people/things, I use it to inspire the imagery on their coloring pages/rock/etc! (Peep the happy Barracuda on his coloring page 😂)

And a few coloring pages for Erica- Truss was part of the “under construction” litter, Peco was named by the National Honor Societies of Susquenita High School and West Perry High School from money they raised at their annual rival basketball game and their “Chuck a Duck” event, and Kelly was a mommy to 3 litters of puppies, all of which are represented on her page by different imagery! 🐶

A message to you all: your artwork is special to me! If you haven’t received it yet, or are patiently waiting (special thanks to you all patiently waiting!), it’s because I’m making sure I create it extra special for you! ✨

I have a rather large final project for the grad course I’m taking this semester due on Wednesday, so I will be taking a slight art making break for the next 2 ish days. And yes, I would much rather be creating your art 😂👩🏻‍🎨

Solution: Easter bunny basket gift card holder 🐰

Omg y’all this may be my favorite creation to date! This is so cute and small, and the best news is that I could recreate this in any color, and really for any holiday. It may be a little late (pun intended) for an Easter bunny gift card holder, but Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are both coming up! I am also willing to take preorders for next Easter 🥰

I’ll come up with some new designs in the near future for reference if anyone has any interest in some of these! 👩🏻‍🎨
