Un ensayo instalativo donde imagen, tiempo y materia se tensan en un mismo espacio.
Un territorio suspendido entre lo que permanece y lo que inevitablemente se desgasta.

Es un gesto sobre el tiempo.
Es un paisaje en descomposición.

Yesterday we inaugurated atardeser, a solo exhibition by Rodrigo Ímaz, curated by Luis Ramaggio.

An installation-based essay where image, time, and matter converge in tension.
A suspended territory between what endures and what inevitably fades.

It is a gesture on time.
It is a landscape in decomposition.

The balls presented by Rodrigo Ímaz, covered in maize kernels, radiate and condense a long history in which the playful and ritual dimensions of the game remain deeply connected to the sacred nature of maize, activating a memory that continues to shape cultural identity today.

Rodrigo Ímaz () articula una práctica multidisciplinaria que transita entre pintura, escultura, instalación y cine. A partir del mestizaje y la tensión entre opuestos, su obra construye escenarios donde la imagen, el tiempo y la narrativa se desplazan y se reconfiguran.

AtardeSer, su exposición individual, inaugura este jueves en LATINOU.

Rodrigo Ímaz develops a multidisciplinary practice that moves across painting, sculpture, installation, and film. Rooted in mestizaje and the tension between opposites, his work constructs scenarios where image, time, and narrative are continuously displaced and reconfigured.

AtardeSer, his solo exhibition, opens this Thursday at LATINOU.

Part of a series that reinterprets the hammer as both object and structure, El Mundo se Construye shifts its function into a sculptural context. The wooden handles introduce a subtle distortion, altering the tool’s logic and emphasizing material, balance, and form over utility.

Parte de una serie que reinterpreta el ma****lo como objeto y estructura, El Mundo se Construye desplaza su función hacia un contexto escultórico. Los mangos de madera introducen una ligera distorsión, alterando la lógica de la herramienta y enfatizando el material, el equilibrio y la forma por encima de su utilidad.

Gracias a todos los que nos acompañaron en EXPO CHICAGO y se tomaron el tiempo de acercarse a la obra.

A monumental surface where image and symbol converge, Pemex revisits one of Mexico’s most charged emblems. Referencing the gas station imagery explored by Ed Ruscha, Otto Martin Moreno shifts the familiar into a painterly field where scale and gesture move it from infrastructure into abstraction.

Escrito deliberadamente con “s”, AtardeSer desarma la palabra para revelar su ambigüedad: errar, llegar tarde, descomponerse. Ímaz construye una meditación sobre un mundo que existe después de sí mismo, donde la belleza y el derrumbe conviven en una misma luz que se apaga.

Deliberately written with an “s”, AtardeSer fractures language to reveal its ambiguity: to arrive late, to drift, to slowly decompose. Ímaz constructs a meditation on a world that exists in the aftermath of itself, where beauty and collapse coexist in the same fading light.

Dairo Vargas en EXPO CHICAGO 2026

Nos complace anunciar que Dairo Vargas formará parte del programa de LATINOU en EXPO CHICAGO 2026, que tendrá lugar este abril.

Vargas estudió Bellas Artes en Londres en Kensington and Chelsea College y Central Saint Martins, tras una formación inicial en diseño gráfico en Bogotá. Su obra ha sido presentada en galerías e instituciones como Maddox Gallery y la Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, y forma parte de colecciones internacionales como la World Health Organization (WHO) y el Alfardan Group.

Dairo Vargas at EXPO CHICAGO 2026

We are pleased to announce that Dairo Vargas will be part of LATINOU’s presentation at EXPO CHICAGO 2026, taking place this April.

Vargas studied Fine Art in London at Kensington and Chelsea College and Central Saint Martins, following a background in graphic design in Bogotá. His work has been exhibited in galleries and institutions including Maddox Gallery and the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition.
