Malta Contemporary Art was founded in 2008 in Malta, as a geographically specific contemporary art project by artist and curator Mark Mangion. s Chetwynd, Douglas White, Jess Flood-Paddock & Haris Epaminonda. Between 2011 - 2015, it established itself as a roving project entitled Parallel Borders presenting projects in Athens, Rome, Zurich, Graz, Paris, Brussels, London and Reykjavik. In June 2017, MCA returned to Malta, opening with a brand new project space in the heart of Valletta. In our Exhibition programme, we are committed to presenting innovative artists, curators, designers of the highest calibre as well as creating a highly engaging community space with great local and international visibility.
