Voices from the Warehouse District VIII is a month-long art exhibit and cultural event located in a re-purposed 15,000 square foot warehouse at 10th and Jackson in Dubuque’s Historic Millwork District. Now in its eleventh year, Voices offers a whole new range of events and opportunities for connections from Sept. 12th through Oct. 3rd, 2015, inviting everyone to stop down to the warehouse district and be apart of the culture.

Join us for First Fridays Dubuque this week for the opening of two outstanding exhibits featuring the works of three artists. Doors open at 5:30 with an artist talk beginning at 6:00.
Flyover Country offers colorful and eclectic original works by Susan Becker in the Joan Mulgrew Gallery, a captivating exhibition showcasing her diverse and imaginative artwork.
Tides of Mentorship: Between Water and Land joins the works of John Hitchcock and Adriana Barrios throughout the main gallery and studio space. Viewers will be treated to a compelling dialogue between two artists—teacher and student—each exploring distinct facets of human connection to the environment.

Voices Studios is Dubuque’s most unique event and exhibition space featuring three galleries and a courtyard. Founded in 2023, Voices Studios brings an artistic presence to Dubuque’s Central Avenue, making it more accessible to a more diverse audience, as well as an outlet for a new generation of artists to create and be inspired, from two- and three-dimensional visual artists to performing artists, musicians, filmmakers and more.

Pages to Piments will explore the powerful intersection between literature and art, demonstrating how words can inspire a spectrum of emotions and images on canvas. We are seeking a diverse range of artists residing within a 250 mile radius of Dubuque, IA.
This curated exhibition is pleased to offer monetary prizes for People's Choice--1st $500 and 2nd $250 along with the prestigious Curator's Prize of $750. The jury panel will select artworks that demonstrate a wide array of styles, techniques, and genres, showcasing the richness of the creative dialogue between literature and painting.
