I’ve been hyper focusing on everything for a few months now. It all has been such a revelation to me. I finally belong somewhere.

Autism.
I’ve been processing it very hard for the last few weeks. I’ve always suspected myself to be on the spectrum, but where I am from this was simply not talked about.
Then i've strongly suspected that my son is autistic, but since he was doing well at school and we had no behavioural issues, it never got addressed.
Finally, after talking to his teachers we decided to refer him.
From very mixed feelings at first, (why would you refer a happy, not struggling child) I’ve came to an acceptance now, and trying to become more aware myself, for the sake of him, and the whole family, so he can grow being more self aware and learn how to protect his sensitive, curious, fabulous mind and hopefully manage his mental health better than I often did.
Now looking for recommendations of books on the subject, best be written by autistic people 🙂

Winter. "On earth shines my lantern for me"
I’ve had this most persistent cough for a week now and haven’t been feeling well enough to attempt any commissions. But painted this. I guess it can become my winter, Christmas card this year.

My daughter was poorly yesterday and we spent the day making cookies and crafting. This will be a lantern eventually and hopefully.
I am after the wrappers from the quality street sweets, in case anyone buys the swets and throws them 😊

Hi everyone.
As many others i am watching in terror the horrors in the beautiful Ukraine. I am aware that there are other humanitarian crisis situation atm, all just as valid, but Ukraine is constantly on my mind, I can’t shake it off, as I’ve been there, I have friends there and my home country is bordering with them.
To help in even a smallest way, I would like to run a giveaway. I will choose a person who will receive a free, one person, A4 watercolour portrait, with free postage in the UK.
The entry requirement is a proof of ANY donation to Ukrainian aid. No minimum amount, as I know that there are hard times for many of us too. (You can pm me a proof f the donation)
I will close in a few days and choose a person randomly.
This is a good place to donate. You can of course chose different, but bevare, as there are many scamming sites.
