👑The first ruler of Cilicia was Ruben I 《Lord of the Mountains》.
🗯️Armenian prince, king of Cilician Armenia since 1080, cousin and personal bodyguard of the Armenian king Gagik II. Founder of the Rubenid royal dynasty of the Cilician kingdom. His father was probably Hovhannes-Smbat.
✝️Prince Ruben, was one of the generals and vassals of Filaret Varazhnuni, who was entrusted with the protection of the Antitavr region, in 1080 marked the beginning of a new Armenian dynasty and was the founder of the principality of Mountainous Cilicia, which later became a kingdom. After the death of Ruben I, the throne of the Cilician principality was inherited by his son, Prince Kostandin I, who made the Vakhka fortress a family abode.
