Theme - "Balance & Change"

The wood, beeswax and varnish sculptures explore balance, relationships, landscape, form and color. They arise from interior and abstract thoughts, which I experienced during this past year of isolation. The sculptures were healing for me and I hope that feeling is conveyed to the viewer.

"Simple Moments"

“As life grows more and more complicated, stressful, and demanding, it can take effort to slow down. One must take time to breathe deeply, relax to a piano melody, check out the color and design of a glass chip, enjoy the smile of a young child and, in particular, note things that bring a personal sense of joy. To find beauty and serenity in a supercharged world I make art. My photographs and paintings are catching a brief second in time. The glass pieces, as well, are meant to capture a single moment and bring some inner peace in a hectic world.” ~ Nancy Dobbs
