Bio of Jim Cline
Jim Cline is an experienced and talented local artist, specializing in detailed charcoal and custom drawings of animals and wildlife. After seeing his potential at four years old, his parents signed him up for an art class at Nazareth College. At fourteen, he drew a logo for a local country club and only marketing solely by word of mouth, couldn’t keep up with how many requests o
f custom artwork he continued to receive. Throughout his life, Jim has faced difficult struggles, including becoming a widow, perfecting the craft of sheet metal work as a journeyman, and recovering from ten-year drug addiction, remaining clean for the past thirteen years, and inspiring him to bury himself into his artwork. He is knowledgeable in all things nature, including most of the names and medicinal uses of wild herbs and plants. Jim is passionate about creating life in a different way than what people normally view things and finds happiness in watching others see the beauty in nature the way he does. He’s grateful to be at a point in his life where he can focus primarily on channeling his creativity into his art, whether it be crafting baskets and knives from nature or creating breathtaking chalk drawings that you can find on his page.
