Revisited this fantastic podcast yesterday, such a brilliant listen.

Nick Willing, Paula Rego's son talks candidly about Paula's life.
Insightful, inspiring, thought provoking also full of joy.

She sadly passed away in June this year, but I believe that she will live on through her work.

I was lucky enough to see the exhibition last year, which as you'd expect was jaw droppingly brilliant!

The Worker's Respite recently had a big pub discussion about 'what is art'. Which we all know is TOO BIG A QUESTION!

Would this constitute as being 'art'?

For some reason it made me think long & hard about it being a piece of art.

It's sitting there minding its own business, providing a really great service.

A service that we've become accustomed to over the last few years, that helps us all do our bit for each other.
A service which I'm all in favour of.

Seeing it stood there amongst all the many other works of art, in all of their forms, I came to the conclusion that, Yep I think maybe it should be considered a piece of art... maybe.
What d'you reckon?

Had a brill afternoon yesterday. Some really inspirational art up there on the 6th floor!
I wasn't up for going out at first, but I'm so glad I did. I felt really fulfilled afterwards.
It was also great to chat with Domino, (ta for taking the time to speak with us!)
Such a talented bunch of artists, highly recommend it!

Roasted peppers, garlic & toms with a splash of red wine vinegar. Gonna blitz these together in the hope of making a decent sauce to go with seabass, asparagus & Jersey Royals fer tea.
