How do you colour in? Well I am biased in that I would go for watercolour paints first. However if you don't fancy paints, you can try crayons , pastels or Colouring pencils. Battled through the weather this morning with my painting heading for the Art Gallery in Rejects Department Store. Brenda,(supervisor) managed to find a space for it on the wall. This is a painting of St Andrews Royal & Ancient Golf Course, which golfers all over the world regard as the home of golf. The painting is an Acrylic on canvas,size 40 x 26 inches. The frame, completed by the Framestore, is brushed gold with white inner. I will have prints available shortly, size 20 x12 inches, price £39. Look Ebay for details. Two of my most recent paintings of the Fife coast. The top one is of Elie harbour looking from the gardens . This an acrylic on canvas board size 40 x 50 cm.
The bottom one is of Dysart Harbour which is also acrylic on canvas board, size 24 x 30cm. I will be taking them to be framed at the Framestore in Kikcaldy. Something different for a change. New paintings away from the east neuk of Fife which I usually paint. St Ives and New York. I was on holiday in st Ives in April and took some pictures of the beautiful turquoise water and beaches. I can now see why so many artists go to St Ives to paint. Found this painting I did several years back. I took a picture of this couple walking near the harbour when I was on holiday in Turkey. When I got back home I used the picture as a reference and did this painting using Acrylic on canvas. I quite enjoyed it ,as it was a complete change from my usual Scottish landscape paintings. I think I will get it framed and take it along to Rejects Art Gallery. Hopefully the team will find a space to put it on display. Rejects Department Store @ Arts,Artists,Artwork

A nice surprise this week. Phone call from Rejects Gallery team to say that 4 of my originals had been sold over the Bank Holiday weekend. (See below). Great stuff. Only problem I don't have enough originals ready to fill the wall space. I had 2 originals which I got framed, so they are now available.( The one's on the right. I bought some more canvases and will need to get a move on painting some more. Rejects Department Store .

Been on holiday in Cornwall recently so decided to do a painting of the harbour at St Ives. It was a nice change from the east neuk of Fife and Scottish landscapes. The colour of sea is so beautiful. I maybe made it a bit rich. It was an enjoyable change. I have plenty photos so look out for more. It will be a change, but our Fife harbours still take a of beating. Rejects Department Store
