“Our event and other free concerts held by the National Blues Museum reflect how a healthy music and entertainment ecosystem can bring people together for positive impact. Supported in part by a Communities for Immunity award, the Orlando Science Center partnered with the Florida Department of Health (DOH) to host a vaccine clinic yesterday.

In addition to doses of the vaccine, the science center also provided informational and educational activities and games to teach children about the importance of vaccines and why they help protect people from viruses.

According to the center's Vice President of Marketing Jeff Stanford, "as much as it’s important to provide access to vaccines, it’s equally as important to raise awareness and share information so people have confidence in the vaccine."

The event was part of a nationwide program.
