🎨✨ The Radiant Red of Vermilion ✨🎨

One of the oldest and most brilliant red pigments in the artist's palette, Vermilion's history dates back millennia. Derived from the mineral cinnabar, its fiery hue illuminated manuscripts, graced the faces of ancient statues, and brought life to Renaissance masterpieces.

Despite its breathtaking beauty, there's a dark side to Vermilion. Cinnabar is primarily mercury sulfide, making the process of creating Vermilion both toxic and dangerous. Over time, safer alternatives have replaced it, but its legacy remains.

🎨✨ "Broken Kelly - Trash Bag" by CHiNGLiSH WANG 🚮👜

In the face of the work "Broken Kelly - Trash Bag", a sculpture from the series "CHiNGLiSH Brands - Trash Bag", we see the powerful fusion of sustainability and art. Created in 2023, this work, measuring 24 x 22 x 6 cm, transforms commercial waste into an impressive statement against consumerism.

Each of the pressed sculptures made from more than 15 discarded Hermès paper bags raises critical questions: What is valuable today? How does our consumer behaviour define our identity? This artwork invites us to reflect on the environmental impact of consumption and our personal contribution to global sustainability.

The detailed handiwork makes visible what often remains invisible: the burden on our planet caused by overconsumption and waste. "Broken Kelly - Trash Bag" is not just a sculpture, but a mirror of our time that blurs the boundaries between waste and value, destruction and beauty.
